From time to time you may receive a letter from the IRS or state or local tax agencies. If you owe money to the IRS
There a many advertisements on the media offering to help you if you owe money and claiming a large reduction in the payment required. In fact, you generally do not need a third party to "help" you; rather the IRS offers several tools to assist you in payment or to make a request for reduced payment.
